Located in Midtown in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, Idlewild Elementary School has a rich history of excellence stretching back to its start in the 1890s.  The existing building dates back to 1903, and has housed some of Memphis' most successful business and political minds. Currently a K-5 school, it's become home to some of the best scholastic chess players in the region.
